What you will do
- Oversee site readiness for equipment installation and operational deployment across data center environments.
- Lead end-to-end deployment projects for physical-layer and structured-cabling infrastructure, from planning through testing and handoff.
- Coordinate installation of backbone fiber, copper, pathways, and containment, ensuring vendor work follows engineering designs and schedules.
- Align Digital Infrastructure Group, Site Reliability Engineering, engineering, operations, leadership, and external partners.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Gantt charts, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
- Identify physical constraints, risks, and resource blockers while improving deployment processes and documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical project or program management experience focused on infrastructure deployments, data center operations, hardware rollouts, or large-scale technical infrastructure.
- Understanding of data center site readiness, networking, server deployments, cloud readiness, rack and stack operations, and physical-layer infrastructure.
- Experience managing complex technical projects from inception through completion with strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools, including Gantt charts.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and prioritization skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to physical data center sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Degree or field of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- PMP or Certified Data Center Design Professional certification.
- 10+ years of experience managing hyperscale, modular, or large-scale data center build-outs and physical-layer installations.
- Experience or interest in alternative energy systems, stranded energy resources, or climate-aligned computing.
