User Acceptance Testing Tester

Location: Hybrid role aligned to the Milton Keynes office, with at least two office days per week; full-time office work is also supported.

Salary: £27,319–£30,378 per year.

What you will do

• Develop detailed UAT test scripts from agreed scenarios, requirements, and test plans.
• Execute tests across relevant systems to validate end-to-end business journeys.
• Compare actual results with expected outcomes and record results and supporting evidence.
• Identify and raise potential defects, escalating unclear requirements and system behaviour to the UAT Lead.
• Collaborate with the UAT Lead, business SMEs, technical teams, and project colleagues to complete testing on schedule.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and ways of working.

Requirements

• Experience in user acceptance testing, business testing, system testing, or transferable testing work.
• Ability to turn business scenarios or requirements into clear, detailed test scripts.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or a comparable test management tool.
• Ability to record and analyse test results, identify potential defects, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently within an agreed UAT approach.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Experience as a UAT Tester, Test Analyst, Business Tester, or in a similar role.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• ISTQB or an equivalent testing qualification.
• Experience supporting system implementations, transformation programmes, or change initiatives.
