Environmental Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom; 100% shopfloor / office based

What you will do

• Perform environmental and electrical testing of spacecraft systems and components, from equipment and documentation preparation through test execution and reporting.
• Configure, instrument, and manage Thermal Vacuum, climatic, vibration, and shock test operations.
• Record test data, document lessons learned, prepare test procedures, and produce technical reports.
• Maintain test instrumentation, facilities, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards in a high-risk test environment.

Requirements

• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance
• Proven experience in a test environment, with practical and theoretical knowledge of electrical/electronic, Thermal Vacuum, and mechanical testing.
• Experience with automated or manual test environments and competent software skills.
• Engineering HNC/HND or equivalent experience.
• Foundational engineering knowledge, including mechanical and electrical formulae, theoretical loads, power values, and technical documentation.
• Comfort working in high-risk environments where safety is critical.
