Location: On-site in Paris or Lausanne, with travel between sites

What you will do
- Lead and structure an existing team of four engineers across Paris and Lausanne, with a roadmap to grow the team to around eight engineers by mid-2027.
- Design and maintain a versioned scenario library covering nominal, edge, off-nominal, and contested flight conditions.
- Define execution strategies across SITL, HITL, and CI, including test gates, telemetry capture, deterministic replay, and coverage analytics.
- Own technical boundaries with Tooling and co-ownership agreements with Validation.
- Correlate simulation models with real flight data to measure and reduce the sim-to-real gap.
- Work with Tooling, Validation, GNC, Perception, and Embedded Software teams to improve flight-software reliability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in automated testing, simulation-based validation, or test engineering for complex physical or hardware-in-the-loop systems.
- Hands-on experience designing scenario-based test suites and meaningful coverage on a simulation platform.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Linux, Docker, and CI environments.
- Deep expertise in scenario design, SITL/HITL execution, and simulation tools.
- Experience leading distributed engineers and establishing clear technical interfaces across teams.
- Working-level English and presence in Paris or Lausanne are required.

- Background in defense, aerospace flight software, or control systems.
