Technical Engineering Lead (Runtime Agent)

Location: Remote, flexible within Italy

What you will do

• Lead and grow the engineering team responsible for the runtime agent.
• Set technical direction and own hiring, mentoring, team growth, and performance management.
• Review designs and code, unblock engineers, and remain hands-on with technically demanding cross-cutting work.
• Partner with product, detection, and security research teams to deliver new runtime-agent functionality.
• Maintain performance and production stability across customer infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience leading an engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and technical direction.
• Extensive experience building and operating low-level, performance-critical systems software in C and C++.
• Experience with containerized and orchestrated systems, including Kubernetes, containerd, and cgroups.
• Deep knowledge of operating system internals and instrumentation techniques such as eBPF or kernel modules.
• Proficiency with Linux internals and experience operating distributed systems at scale.
• Experience managing distributed teams and planning long-term roadmaps spanning multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Go or Rust.
• Experience growing a team during rapid product change.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or macOS internals.
