Salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead day-to-day datacenter operations across hardware, networking, compute, and supporting infrastructure.
- Guide the transition from traditional infrastructure operations to AWS-native cloud application engineering.
- Manage AWS PaaS services supporting SaaS applications, including ECS/Fargate, DocumentDB, MSK, Valkey, and SES.
- Establish observability, monitoring, logging, telemetry, reliability, and incident-response practices.
- Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities while aligning operations with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineers while partnering with engineering, architecture, and cloud operations leadership on strategy, roadmaps, budgets, and capacity planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering and operations, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- 6+ years of people leadership experience, including leading teams through major technical or operating-model changes.
- Hands-on experience with physical datacenter environments, hardware lifecycle, facilities, networking, and compute infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of AWS PaaS services and experience across traditional infrastructure and public cloud environments.
- Experience with production automation, DevOps, project and change management, strategic planning, budgeting, financial management, and security compliance frameworks.

- Experience leading a datacenter-to-public-cloud transformation.
- Experience developing infrastructure engineers into cloud or platform engineers.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise SaaS products in regulated or security-conscious environments.
- Experience building observability, incident response, business continuity, or disaster recovery programs.
