Technical Account Manager (TAM) Architect

Location: Japan, remote with required onsite travel to customers in Tokyo, estimated at up to 35% of the time

What you will do

• Provide consultative support, architectural guidance, technical assistance, and migration support to strategic and enterprise customers.
• Support onboarding, production launches, and proofs of concept in partnership with ClickHouse Sales.
• Lead technical projects, customer meetings, escalations, and account planning activities.
• Own and oversee L3 support cases and escalations while collaborating with the L1/L2 Support team.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales on roadmap development and customer success.
• Assist with hiring and mentoring, documentation, knowledge-base content, learning materials, reference architectures, and QA activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Senior Support, and/or Project Management.
• 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems.
• Technical breadth across DBMS, OLAP, cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data.
• Experience leading and delivering large-scale technical projects with experienced engineers.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and its infrastructure-as-a-service offerings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in customer-facing and cross-functional environments.
