Dimensional Management Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Provide functional leadership and line management for tolerancing engineers and support staff.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent while maintaining technical leadership in tolerancing solutions.
• Apply advanced tolerancing methods and toolsets from early research and technology activities through wing manufacturing and final assembly.
• Coordinate with Design, Stress, Aerodynamics, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to define cost-effective production solutions.
• Lead engineering projects, ensuring technical deliverables meet schedule, quality, budget, and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate and collaborate with customers, suppliers, internal departments, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Minimum BSc/BEng degree and 3 years of relevant management or project management responsibility, or lesser qualifications with at least 5 years of relevant responsibility.
• Experience working with senior management, customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Ability to manage, motivate, and advise teams handling specialist engineering issues.
• Knowledge of ISO tolerances annotation, 1D and 3D stack-up analysis, and MECAMASTER/3DCS toolsets.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of metallic and composite structures.
• Successful candidates will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks, including a criminal record check.

Nice to have

• Computer-aided design experience, particularly CATIA V5.
• Experience supporting concessions and working in manufacturing.
• Project management skills.
