VP, Strategic Intelligence & Market Insights (Healthcare)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The role is associated with an office location; occasional or permanent home working requires cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

What you will do

• Build and lead an enterprise-wide strategic intelligence capability covering healthcare, competitive, customer, provider, payer, PBM, technology, regulatory, and adjacent-market dynamics.
• Develop forward-looking assessments of market concentration, ecosystem shifts, disruptive forces, evolving value pools, business models, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Design modern intelligence infrastructure integrating internal and external data, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Advise executive leadership and the Board by translating complex market developments into strategic implications, scenarios, recommendations, and investment priorities.
• Connect intelligence to strategy, capital allocation, innovation, product direction, partnerships, and growth execution.
• Build external relationships across healthcare, technology, venture, academia, provider, payer, startup, and innovation ecosystems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or another advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategy, intelligence, transformation, corporate development, innovation, consulting, venture investing, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystem dynamics, including payer, provider, pharmacy, specialty, technology, regulatory, and adjacent-market trends.
• Experience translating market, customer, competitive, technology, and industry insights into enterprise strategy and business action.
• Experience using advanced analytics, data, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies for strategic insight and decision support.
• Strong strategic foresight, scenario planning, analytical synthesis, storytelling, executive communication, and cross-functional influence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, digital health, life sciences, consulting, venture capital, private equity, innovation, or adjacent industries.
• Experience building modern intelligence, insights, analytics, strategic planning, or foresight functions.
• Experience with AI-enabled intelligence platforms, data ecosystems, startup and venture communities, academic institutions, or innovation networks.
• Experience advising executive leadership teams and Boards on strategy, growth, disruption, and long-term risks.
