Senior Engineering Manager - Custody

Location: San Francisco, New York, Portland, or remote within Canada or the United States.

Salary: US employees: $239,000–$298,800 USD base salary; Canadian employees: $225,900–$282,400 CAD base salary. Total rewards also include equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of senior engineers while building a trusting and supportive environment.
• Own the team’s technical strategy and roadmap, translating investment ambitions into focused priorities and predictable delivery.
• Guide the design and evolution of cash and securities ledgers, security master services, position tracking, and reconciliation systems.
• Partner with product, investment operations, compliance, and partnerships to translate business and regulatory requirements into reliable systems and auditable workflows.
• Balance new capabilities with the maintenance, incident response, correctness, and reliability of critical custody infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing highly technical teams.
• Direct experience building or operating RIA and broker-dealer custody systems at scale.
• Experience with ledgers, security master services, cash and securities reconciliation, and money movement.
• Understanding of broker-dealer operating models and data flows across introducing brokers, clearing firms, and custodians.
• Experience working with compliance and operations teams to turn requirements into engineering decisions and effective controls.
• Understanding of securities lifecycles, settlement, and corporate actions across equities, fixed income, ETFs, and mutual funds.
