Internal Controls Associate (Audit)

What you will do

• Support audit planning and execution for client engagements.
• Identify issues and apply accounting principles and auditing procedures.
• Prepare work papers, conclusions, recommendations, and client correspondence.
• Research current processes and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
• Build positive client relationships, respond promptly, and communicate engagement status to senior team members.
• Participate in recruiting, training, mentoring, and identifying opportunities among existing clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; audit experience is preferred.
• CPA certification or significant progress toward certification.
• Strong time-management, work-management, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in the Charlotte, North Carolina area and perform duties in client offices.
