What you will do
- Provide electrical subject matter expertise for new campus designs, capital projects, systems operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational standards.
- Review drawings, contract documents, equipment specifications, customer requirements, and sequences of operation to validate reliable and efficient critical infrastructure.
- Develop and deliver training, drills, monitored evolutions, standards, procedures, business continuity plans, and runbooks for site operations teams.
- Analyze site performance, equipment failures, incidents, alarms, and operational trends; lead root cause analyses, incident deep-dives, recovery activities, and lessons-learned reviews.
- Drive improvements in electrical and water efficiency, infrastructure reliability, maintenance quality, safety, and operating expenditure.
- Evaluate new technologies and sustainable practices while supporting customer communications, audits, acceptance activities, vendors, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant electrical industry or electrical trade-level experience, or a related bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of relevant electrical or power generation experience.
- Subject matter expertise in electrical equipment and systems, including data center design, acceptance, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and event management.
- Advanced ability to interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications and analyze critical infrastructure parameters, alarms, indicators, and performance trends.
- Experience creating operational standards and programs for high-quality data center operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work remotely from Virginia, United States, with travel of up to 30%.
