TL;DR
Senior Scientist QC (Biotechnology) (GMP/Analytical Science): Leading qualification protocols and reports for biotechnological reference materials in a cGMP quality-control environment with an accent on analytical chemistry and biology, technical writing, and data integrity. Focus on mentoring colleagues, managing quality documentation and change controls, and providing SME input for audits, inspections, and innovation projects.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary contact between QC customers and CSM for authoring, revising, and reviewing GMP reference standard qualification protocols and reports.
  • Complete qualification documentation supporting LIMS/LES activities, including specifications and test schedules.
  • Provide technical mentoring and coaching in a matrix environment.
  • Support quality documentation and change management for reference standards, including TrackWise records.
  • Lead innovation projects, identify cost and efficiency improvements, and provide subject-matter expertise during audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with QC project leads, QA Analytics, and external clients while maintaining quality, data integrity, and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in life sciences, such as biology, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a cGMP environment, preferably in quality control or analytical development.
  • Advanced scientific experience in analytical chemistry or biology and exceptional technical writing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of QC software, including LIMS/LES, DMS, TrackWise, or Statistica.
  • Strong project and time management skills, teamwork, and readiness for change.
  • English proficiency is required; German proficiency is preferred.
