Scientific Editor (Physics)

Location: Based in Beijing, Shanghai, or Shenzhen, China; hybrid working style

What you will do

• Evaluate research papers submitted to the physics journal and manage peer review through acceptance.
• Commission and edit review articles and other journal content.
• Write editorials and brief technical summaries.
• Attend conferences and visit research institutions locally and internationally.
• Build relationships with authors, readers, reviewers, and colleagues across Cell Press.

Requirements

• PhD in physics in any area of fundamental or applied physics.
• Critical thinking and willingness to engage with diverse areas within physics.
• Excellent written and oral English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, organization, and time management skills.
• Interest in publishing trends and scientific communication.
• Right to work in China required.

• Previous editorial experience.
• Postdoctoral experience.
