Senior Software Engineer – iOS & macOS Security Applications

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain security applications and system-level components for macOS and iOS using Swift and Objective-C.
• Build secure networking capabilities, including VPN, traffic tunneling, DNS security, filtering, and network protection with NetworkExtension.
• Develop system extensions, DNS proxy providers, content filters, and Endpoint Security capabilities.
• Implement authentication, authorization, certificate, cryptography, Keychain, device identity, and secure credential-storage features.
• Integrate security applications and configurations with MDM/UEM platforms, managed applications, certificates, VPN configurations, and device policies.
• Investigate vulnerabilities, perform threat modeling and code reviews, and collaborate with Product, Security, QA, Backend, SRE, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong macOS and/or iOS development experience with Swift and Objective-C.
• Deep knowledge of Apple platform architecture, application lifecycle, sandboxing, entitlements, code signing, notarization, and security models.
• Experience with NetworkExtension, DNS Proxy, Content Filter, or related networking extensions.
• Strong knowledge of network programming and security, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS/HTTPS, routing, and proxies.
• Experience with authentication, certificates, PKI, encryption, key management, secure credential storage, concurrency, IPC, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting application, operating-system, and network problems and using Xcode, LLDB, Instruments, Console, packet captures, and network diagnostic tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise security, endpoint security, Zero Trust, VPN, Secure Access, EDR, DLP, or network security products.
• Experience with macOS System Extensions, Endpoint Security, Keychain Services, Security framework, CryptoKit, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI.
• Experience deploying security products at enterprise scale across large fleets of Apple devices.
