AI Engineering Architect (AI Tooling): Building and owning AI tooling and infrastructure that helps 120 engineers write, review, test, and deploy code faster, with an accent on agentic workflows, model selection, and measurable engineering velocity. Focus on identifying AI-addressable bottlenecks, launching MVPs, scaling successful practices across product teams, and designing evals that prove a targeted 5x acceleration.
Location: Remote, or based in Cyprus or the UK. Candidates from Russia or Belarus must relocate to Cyprus.

What you will do
- Build and own the AI tooling stack for engineering, including agentic coding workflows, evaluations, permission rules, AI-assisted code review, testing, and deployment automation.
- Drive and measure the target of accelerating product development by 5x across 120 engineers and multiple products.
- Identify and remove AI-addressable bottlenecks in engineering workflows in partnership with engineering leadership.
- Choose models, providers, infrastructure, and build-versus-buy approaches for engineering tooling.
- Pitch AI-assisted practices, launch MVPs with individual product teams, and scale successful solutions across the organization.
- Define benchmarks and evaluation systems to measure improvements in engineering velocity rather than tool adoption alone.
Requirements
- 6–7+ years of commercial software development experience across any stack.
- Several recent years focused on implementing and automating workflows through AI.
- Experience rolling out AI tooling company-wide with measurable impact on engineering velocity.
- Experience deploying agentic tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar across an organization.
- Data-driven and experimental approach to launching, evaluating, and scaling engineering practices.
- English at B2 level or higher.
Nice to have
- Experience building an MCP server.
- Background as a platform engineer, DevEx lead, or AI/ML infrastructure engineer.
- Experience with machine learning.
