TL;DR
Algorithm Manager (AI): Leading the development and deployment of machine learning and traditional algorithm solutions for next-generation reticle inspection imaging systems with an accent on anomaly detection, image processing, C++, and CUDA. Focus on developing GPU-accelerated algorithms, solving customer and product-lifecycle issues, and mentoring an engineering team across multi-year projects.
Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; onsite algorithm technical support is required, with occasional travel to headquarters.

What you will do
- Lead and manage an algorithm team within the RAPID reticle product division.
- Develop anomaly-detection algorithm solutions from requirements and concept design through prototyping and product deployment.
- Create machine learning and traditional algorithm solutions for advanced reticle inspection imaging systems.
- Provide onsite algorithm technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the TSMC business unit and Global Service Support to identify root causes and resolve product issues.
- Promote technical excellence, agile development practices, and customer satisfaction across functions.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of related experience with a master’s degree or 3 years with a doctorate.
- Extensive experience applying image processing, machine learning, or deep learning to advanced imaging systems.
- Required production software development experience in C++ using object-oriented programming principles.
- Required experience with CUDA and GPU-accelerated computing.
- Ability to provide onsite support in Hsinchu, Taiwan and travel to headquarters occasionally.
