What you will do
- Support downstream bioprocess purification activities for large, complex molecules.
- Perform tangential flow filtration, including microfiltration and ultrafiltration.
- Conduct wet chemistry work such as pipetting, buffer preparation, filtration, dilution, and stoichiometric calculations.
- Support process scale-up, scale-down, characterization, method development, and method transfer activities.
- Interpret, analyze, and present experimental data.
- Document laboratory work, maintain laboratory notebooks and chemical inventories, and manage data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
- Experience with tangential flow filtration, microfiltration, and ultrafiltration.
- Strong scientific understanding of downstream bioprocess purification and scale-up or scale-down principles.
- Comfort working in a laboratory environment with strong wet chemistry fundamentals.
- Technical writing, laboratory documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in West Point, Pennsylvania.
Nice to have
- Experience with adjuvant or lipid nanoparticle processing, extrusion, homogenization, or purification process characterization.
- Experience with plate readers, densitometers, thermocyclers, cIEF, UV/Vis spectrophotometers, HPLC, or UPLC.
- Experience in GMP or GLP environments and industry research laboratories.
- Experience troubleshooting laboratory equipment and experimental issues.
