Focus on resolving faults with OEM documentation and diagnostic equipment, documenting repairs, and maintaining safety and high fleet uptime.
Location: Detroit, Michigan, USA; onsite, shift-based role.
Salary: $75,0000–$85,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package.

What you will do
- Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer and internal guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using OEM documentation and advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Prepare vehicles for demonstrations by maintaining cleanliness, reliability, and operational functionality.
- Follow workshop safety practices, risk assessments, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Record faults, repairs, actions taken, and parts used in digital maintenance systems.
- Work with drivers, engineers, operations staff, and field engineering teams to resolve issues and improve fleet performance.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in automotive servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician in an automotive servicing or fleet environment.
- Strong diagnostic skills with OEM or third-party diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with mechanical and bodywork repairs using OEM repair manuals.
- Computer skills for tracking and recording maintenance tasks, including Word and Excel.
- Valid US driving license required.
Nice to have
- Experience with vehicles equipped with ADAS or autonomous technology.
- Understanding of autonomous vehicle fleet operations in a high-uptime environment.
- Interest in emerging mobility technologies and willingness to learn new systems.
