Intern - Economic Analysis (Fintech)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Analyze key metrics, large datasets, performance trends, and portfolio-related data.
• Develop and maintain databases and data-driven economic models.
• Support residual value meetings, research projects, data collection, and model documentation.
• Apply econometrics and economic, legal, and industry research to assess effects on portfolio performance and asset values.
• Prepare reports, presentations, findings, recommendations, and risk analyses for internal clients and senior leadership.
• Use data analysis, model development, and strategy testing to improve analytical processes.

Requirements

• Current Master's student or higher in Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics, with at least one semester remaining at the internship start.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to business leaders.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, conceptual, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work in the United States; immigration-related sponsorship and work authorization support are not provided, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience.
• Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
• Experience integrating AI into workflows and conducting AI-assisted research, summarization, or content generation.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection.
