Medical Information Specialist - Life Science Graduate

Location: United States. Remote work is supported, with hybrid work encouraged for new hires located within a reasonably short commute of a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Respond to unsolicited medical and safety information requests from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers through multiple channels.
• Provide labeled and unlabeled medical and safety information using approved labeling, standard responses, published literature, and other relevant data.
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints according to regulations, SOPs, and client working practices.
• Write or assist with custom medical information responses and maintain accurate records in inquiry handling systems.
• Perform quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and logged inquiries.
• Provide rotated after-hours coverage and complete additional activities assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Life science degree.
• English proficiency and fluent, grammatically correct writing in the target language for the role.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, proofreading, professional telephone etiquette, and empathetic customer service skills.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems, with the ability to learn inquiry handling databases.
