Focus on interpreting clinical data, delivering scientific education, supporting pharmacovigilance, and translating complex medical information across cross-functional teams.
Location: Centurion and Johannesburg, South Africa; office- and field-based with local and occasional international travel

What you will do
- Build and maintain scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Execute gastrointestinal therapeutic-area medical engagement plans and provide balanced, evidence-based medical information.
- Deliver scientific presentations and educational sessions on disease states and approved product indications.
- Gather field insights and collaborate with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Regulatory teams.
- Support clinical research, advisory boards, educational initiatives, scientific materials, and peer-to-peer learning programs.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical requirements while supporting pharmacovigilance and product safety reporting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced scientific or clinical qualification in a Life Sciences discipline.
- At least 2 years of Medical Affairs experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology, or academic environments.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the gastrointestinal therapeutic area required.
- Ability to interpret clinical trial data and medical literature, with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Valid South African driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle for business travel.
- Ability to work in the office and in the field, with willingness to travel locally and occasionally internationally.
Nice to have
- Experience in Oncology, Haematology, or related therapeutic areas.
- Experience engaging healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
