Security Risk Management Intern (AI) (Cybersecurity/Fintech): Developing security risk management processes, GRC automations, and AI-based tools for faster risk assessment and clearer communication with leadership and the board, with an accent on information security, cloud technologies, and enterprise risk. Focus on integrating AI into security assessments, solving cross-functional risk problems, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Location: Menlo Park, California office; in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week
Salary: $40 per hour in the Menlo Park compensation zone

What you will do
- Partner with security, legal, governance, compliance, and business teams to understand security risk practices.
- Support process automation and improvements in the governance, risk, and compliance space.
- Help implement and integrate AI-based tools for security risk assessments and decision-making.
- Apply technical and analytical skills to real-world security risk problems.
- Communicate findings and project outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Information Systems.
- Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028; rising juniors and seniors are preferred.
- Coursework or practical experience in information security concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, SaaS, and PaaS.
- Strong problem-solving, systems-thinking, and communication skills.
- Interest in data privacy, security tooling, and AI applications in risk management.
