Senior Offensive Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bellevue, WA; New York, NY; Denver, CO; or Menlo Park, CA, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Base pay range: $1–$1 USD, depending on compensation zone and work location. The role is also eligible for bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Plan and execute red team exercises, long-term adversarial assessments, penetration tests, and threat modeling across applications, infrastructure, and corporate environments.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate security testing and improve offensive security capabilities.
• Run adversarial simulations with detection and response teams to strengthen incident readiness.
• Communicate findings to engineers, executives, and other stakeholders, then partner with engineering teams on remediation.
• Mentor offensive security engineers and lead security incidents arising from penetration testing or red team findings.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in red team operations or advanced penetration testing.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of security engineers.
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, macOS, Linux, access and identity security, and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
• Experience attacking and hardening modern software environments, including CI systems, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and GCP.
• Knowledge of defensive technologies such as IDS/IPS, packet capture, network analysis, antivirus, and EDR, including evasion techniques.
• Ability to read and write Python, Go, and JavaScript, communicate clearly in English, and document technical findings.
