TL;DR
IT Infrastructure Engineer (Windows, Active Directory & VMware): Designing, implementing, and maintaining global Windows and Linux infrastructure systems with an accent on virtualization, storage, backup, Active Directory, PKI, and enterprise services. Focus on leading infrastructure projects, optimizing system performance, executing upgrades, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure environments.
Location: Budapest, Hungary. Full-time employment based in Hungary.

What you will do
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve Windows and Linux server infrastructure.
- Manage virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control platforms.
- Administer Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure, and support enterprise email and business systems.
- Plan and execute operating system patching, infrastructure upgrades, qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Lead small and medium-sized infrastructure projects and contribute to larger cross-domain initiatives with Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams.
- Maintain infrastructure inventories, warranties, technical documentation, procedures, standards, and vendor coordination.
Requirements
- University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory, plus experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers.
- Practical experience with virtualization, enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects, monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and maintain detailed technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, Azure Arc, or Azure Update Manager.
- Experience with Zabbix, PowerShell, infrastructure automation, Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, Postfix, Veeam, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, qualification, validation processes, and relevant technical certifications.
