Fleet Manager (Aviation): Managing maintenance activities for the Wizz Air fleet in a dedicated region with an accent on regulatory compliance, MRO coordination, and aircraft technical status. Focus on overseeing maintenance providers, validating aircraft and repair compliance, coordinating technical downtimes, and controlling contracted maintenance performance.

Location: Otopeni, Romania; the role is based in Otopeni and includes physical spot-checks on aircraft and maintenance providers.

What you will do

  • Ensure fleet maintenance is completed by MROs in line with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor aircraft technical status and coordinate defect rectification with maintenance providers and the Maintenance Control Center.
  • Coordinate maintenance-related activities with ground handling contractors and down-route maintenance support.
  • Manage contracted maintenance provider performance, issue work orders, conduct spot-checks, and approve vendor invoices.
  • Oversee hangar and store facilities, the local technical library, ARC renewal procedures, and maintenance documentation.
  • Support seasonal technical flight schedule planning, process improvement, cost control, and training for contracted maintenance staff.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of relevant work experience, including 3+ years in a Part-145 or Part-M approved organization.
  • A320FAM Type Training Level III.
  • Fuel Tank Safety Training Level 2, EWIS training, and Human Factors training.
  • Thorough knowledge of Part-145, Part-M regulations, maintenance methods, and the CAME.
  • Good knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, fluent written and spoken English, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.
