Finance & Data Analyst (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working from the Amsterdam office, with up to four weeks of remote work per year.

Salary: €50,000–€70,000 gross per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Extract, clean, reconcile, and analyse financial data across accounting, banking, and insurance carrier systems.
• Write SQL and Python for data querying, matching, reconciliation, analysis, and automation.
• Build and maintain reconciliation scripts, carrier statement parsers, automated checks, and scheduled workflows.
• Create dashboards and reporting tools in QuickSight, Excel, or Sheets for visibility into cash, receivables, and payables.
• Identify anomalies and unreconciled items, investigate root causes, and support forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning.
• Improve finance workflows, data quality, controls, and compliance reporting while collaborating with accounting, finance, operations, data, and engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, data analytics, or a related field, with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills; Python experience is advantageous.
• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, general ledger structures, and key financial and operational metrics.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for data cleaning, analysis, reporting, and code development.
• Clear written and spoken English is required for communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance, insurtech, or a fast-growing scale-up.
• Multi-entity, multi-currency, or insurance carrier experience.
• Experience with Exact Online, n8n, or similar workflow automation tools.
