Software Engineer (Web)

Location: Chengdu, China; onsite

What you will do

• Build and maintain web application features across discovery, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Translate UI/UX designs into clean, accessible, reusable components aligned with the design system.
• Work with product and project teams to define requirements, scope, and delivery plans.
• Write, review, optimize, and debug frontend code for performance and quality.
• Keep the codebase scalable and maintainable as the product grows.

Requirements

• Strong frontend fundamentals in semantic HTML, modern JavaScript, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with Vue 3, ideally with Nuxt 3, plus responsive mobile-first design.
• Experience with SASS/SCSS or LESS, a Vue or CSS framework, Vite, and component or unit testing.
• Knowledge of accessibility fundamentals, including semantic markup, WCAG, keyboard navigation, and ARIA.
• Experience with Git-based team workflows, including branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Clear communication in English and Mandarin is required. A computer science degree or equivalent practical experience is expected.

Nice to have

• Basic backend familiarity with Node, Express, and MongoDB.
• Experience with e-commerce or payment applications.
• Knowledge of SEO, analytics tooling such as GA/GTM, or advanced accessibility practices.
