Product Director, Localisation & AI Evals

What you will do

• Rebuild translation and quality-evaluation pipelines around large language models.
• Use LLMs for translation and quality evaluation at scale while defining standards and making final quality decisions.
• Build an AI-assisted localisation monitoring and remediation system that catches issues before release, monitors them after release, and verifies fixes.
• Protect conversion across key user journeys from language-related issues.
• Reduce severe production issues and recurring localisation problems.
• Drive shared responsibility for localisation quality across product, design, engineering, content, and compliance.

Requirements

• Strong cross-functional influence and the ability to change processes without direct reporting authority.
• Accountability for business outcomes and experience measured on business metrics.
• Sound judgement on AI and LLM products, including deciding what should be handled by a model versus a human.
• Experience building quality systems or release gates.
• International product experience serving users across multiple languages and regions.
• Multilingual, linguistics, translation, and algorithm engineering backgrounds are not required.

Nice to have

• QA or test-infrastructure background.
• Experience building a team and its processes from scratch.
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM applications.
• Experience in finance, payments, or another highly regulated industry.
