Cybersecurity Analyst L2 (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM and other security monitoring tools.
• Analyze and triage incidents, assess severity and impact, and coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform root cause analysis and threat intelligence reviews to improve detection and prevention.
• Identify and scope vulnerable systems, and contain or remove indicators of attack and compromise.
• Maintain incident documentation and prepare reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
• Provide on-call support for high- and critical-severity incidents during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role, including security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with security tools such as CrowdStrike, NG SIEM, Proofpoint, Abnormal, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, including filtering and analyzing large datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in Mexico and provide occasional nights-and-weekends on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+, CEH, or an equivalent cybersecurity certification.
