Staff Product Analyst, Product Analytics

Location: San Mateo, Los Angeles, or San Diego, United States; hybrid working policy applies.

Base salary: $200,100–$300,100 USD per year, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Act as a strategic analytics partner for Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics Engineering, Finance, and business teams.
• Lead analytics strategy for complex product areas by defining KPIs, targets, measurement frameworks, and actionable insights.
• Develop experimentation and measurement strategies, including A/B testing and causal inference approaches.
• Own ambiguous analytics initiatives end to end, integrating complex data and applying advanced analytical techniques.
• Communicate analytical findings through concise narratives that connect insights to business outcomes and support senior-level decisions.
• Establish scalable product analytics practices and mentor analysts on analysis, stakeholder management, and communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related field, plus 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional analytics initiatives with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong product and business acumen, including the ability to translate business objectives into analytics strategies, KPIs, and experimentation plans.
• Deep experience with hypothesis testing, experiment design, statistical analysis, and measurement; causal inference or quasi-experimental methods are highly preferred.
• Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R, with strong statistical and analytical modeling knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, and senior stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with causal inference or quasi-experimental methodologies.
• Experience with Adobe CJA, Domo, or Tableau.
