Chief of Staff to the Managing Partner (AI)

Location: New York City office; in person

Salary: $200,000–$215,000 base salary annually, plus a target annual cash bonus of 20%

What you will do

• Act as a trusted thought partner to the Managing Partner by identifying priorities, evaluating alternatives, and recommending clear paths forward.
• Drive high-priority initiatives by clarifying decisions, assigning owners, resolving blockers, and closing follow-up loops.
• Prepare the Managing Partner for board, investor, partner, customer, recruiting, and executive conversations.
• Draft communications, introductions, memos, presentations, and updates for investors, partners, and portfolio companies.
• Advance work across new-company formation, portfolio strategy, financings, strategic partnerships, executive recruiting, and organizational development.
• Build systems for managing priorities, information, relationships, and commitments, using AI to improve work quality and speed.

Requirements

• Typically 3–7 years of professional experience, with demonstrated judgment, capability, and rapid growth.
• Experience in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, public-markets investing, strategy consulting, investment banking, a founder’s office, or an early-stage operating role.
• Exceptional analytical judgment, independence, organization, responsiveness, and ability to operate effectively with incomplete information.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to turn complex thinking into clear, concise, persuasive communications.
• Strong interpersonal instincts, discretion, and credibility with founders, investors, board members, senior executives, and other stakeholders.
• Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, healthcare, investing, and company creation, with comfort using modern AI tools.
