Manager, Materials Management - Memphis (Aerospace)

Location: Southaven, MS and Memphis, TN; based in Memphis and requires onsite work. Remote work is not considered. Domestic travel up to 20% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead materials management activities supporting data center operations and large-scale supercomputer clusters.
• Manage fulfillment, distribution, storage, receiving, acceptance, issuance, and inventory control for parts and hardware.
• Lead multi-level teams across four shift patterns supporting 24/7 operations, including performance management, mentoring, training, and conflict resolution.
• Develop operational strategies, metrics, goals, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Maintain safety, quality, FIFO rotation, shelf-life monitoring, environmental controls, and inventory accuracy for audit and customer requirements.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve customer service and distribution-center performance.

Requirements

• Advanced degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, bachelor's degree and 5+ years, or 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in material or production planning, purchasing, distribution, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling.
• Ability to work onsite in Memphis, TN, all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support in emergency situations.
• Strong communication, team-building, organizational, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying activities.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with capital planning and management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
