Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: On-site in Eagan, Minnesota, United States; requires up to 25% domestic and international travel, flexible schedules including nights or weekends, and work in a clean room environment.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
• Analyze diagnostic data and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Plan service activities, including tools, parts, scheduling, and customer coordination.
• Document service work and provide clear handoffs to support teams.
• Train customer staff on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Share knowledge and support the development of less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience in the semiconductor or high-tech equipment industry.
• Experience with data analysis tools and standard business software.
• Familiarity with electromechanical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance processes.
• Ability to diagnose complex technical problems, communicate clearly, collaborate cross-functionally, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and legally authorized to access controlled technology under U.S. export regulations.
