Automation Engineer II, Falcon Complete (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Build and maintain SOAR security automation workflows and playbooks for investigation, triage, and response.
• Develop PowerShell and Python scripts for security enrichment, remediation, API integration, and basic forensic functions.
• Integrate SIEM queries, JSON parsing, and regular expressions into automated security workflows.
• Assist with AI-powered workflows and collaborate with SOC analysts and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Maintain version control for scripts and workflows using Git platforms.
• Evaluate emerging SOAR, automation, and AI technologies to improve MDR analyst efficiency.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in automation, scripting, or cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and working knowledge of Python for automation and API integration.
• Basic understanding of SIEM query languages, security analytics, and SOC/MDR incident detection and response workflows.
• Experience with JSON, regular expressions, and version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Analytical, independent, collaborative, and results-oriented approach to solving technical challenges.
• Relevant education in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information security, intelligence studies, cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent experience or training may be considered.

Nice to have

• Experience with Falcon SOAR, LogScale, CrowdStrike Falcon, or related APIs.
• Familiarity with AI workflow frameworks, LLM integration, generative AI, and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, cloud platforms, or previous SOC and security operations experience.
