Narrative Designer / Writer (Game Development)

What you will do

• Write concise and precise texts for in-game content and internal project documentation in Russian and English.
• Create characters and stories within the Shadow Fight universe.
• Develop and expand the franchise lore.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for stories, characters, in-game events, and other content.
• Work with in-game assets according to development guidelines.
• Communicate with other teams and the project producer while maintaining narrative documentation.

Requirements

• Writing or scriptwriting experience, with writing samples included in the application.
• Extensive gaming experience across different genres.
• Understanding of game writing, dramatic structures, and core game design principles.
• Professionalism, responsibility, and strong attention to detail.
• Broad cultural interests across games, movies, literature, anime, theater, and pro wrestling.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher for reading, writing, and listening, plus the ability to write in Russian.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Narrative Designer or Writer.
• At least one year of experience in the gaming industry.
• Experience with non-linear storytelling and narrative design tools.
• Experience with mobile or free-to-play games.
• Strong interest in RPGs and fighting games.
