Narrative Designer / Writer (Shadow Fight)

Location: Remote from all over the world. Working hours are 10 AM to 7 PM (GMT+3), with the possibility of adjustment.

Nekki is a game development studio with over 20 years of experience creating mobile, PC, and console games, including the Shadow Fight and Vector franchises.

What you will do

• Write concise and precise texts for in-game content and internal project documentation in Russian and English.
• Create characters and stories within the Shadow Fight universe.
• Develop and expand the franchise lore, including stories and in-game events.
• Participate in brainstorms with the project team and producer.
• Work with in-game assets according to development guidelines.
• Maintain narrative documentation and communicate with other teams.

Requirements

• Experience in writing or scriptwriting; writing samples are required with the application.
• Extensive gaming experience across different genres.
• Understanding of game writing, drama structures, and core game design principles.
• Professionalism, responsibility, politeness, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to write in Russian and English.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher, including reading, writing, and listening.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Narrative Designer or Writer.
• At least one year of experience in the gaming industry.
• Experience with non-linear storytelling and narrative design tools.
• Experience with mobile or free-to-play games.
• Strong interest in RPGs and fighting games.
