Data Science Lead (Machine Learning)

Location: Cyprus, with an office in Limassol and relocation support

What you will do

• Lead, hire, develop and manage a high-performing Data Science team.
• Set priorities, ownership and ways of working while balancing product delivery with longer-term technical investments.
• Establish standards for experimentation, model development, validation, offline evaluation, reproducibility and technical review.
• Own scalable Data Science practices across the ML lifecycle, including prototyping, production readiness, A/B testing, monitoring and iterative improvement.
• Partner with Product, ML Backend, Backend Engineering, MLOps and infrastructure teams to integrate models and improve tooling, experiment tracking, model registries and feature pipelines.
• Contribute to recommendation, personalization, search, trust and safety, content understanding and other ML initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Applied Machine Learning, including Senior or Lead experience.
• Proven experience managing a Data Science team, including people development, performance management, team effectiveness and delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Practical knowledge of modern machine learning methods and the ability to select approaches based on the problem.
• Strong Python and machine learning stack experience.
• Willingness to relocate to Cyprus and work from the Limassol office.
