Analytical Principal Research Scientist (Dissolution)

Location: Boston, MA; on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $140,800–$211,200 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead by example within the Dissolution Team and mentor colleagues in a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing environment.
• Design, execute, and interpret dissolution studies supporting formulation development and regulatory submissions.
• Justify clinically relevant dissolution method parameters and specifications.
• Drive analytical deliverables for late-stage programs, including method development, validation, specification setting, stability, release testing, and analytical strategies.
• Author dissolution sections for regulatory submissions and design validation protocols aligned with ICH and FDA guidelines.
• Develop robust methods, solve complex scientific problems, and contribute to SOPs and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry with 4–7 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 7+ years; or a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years.
• Strong scientific foundation and ability to learn and apply new concepts and techniques.
• Experience or demonstrated capability in analytical chemistry, dissolution science, method development, and validation.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, teamwork, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems creatively, make data-driven decisions, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Boston five days per week, with ad hoc flexibility.
