Automotive Technician

Salary: $15.75–$23.67 per hour in a performance-based flat-rate compensation model

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check vehicle electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install automotive parts.
• Road test customer vehicles and assist with vehicle assessments and repairs.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service-related questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform automotive maintenance and tire repairs.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of oil changes, inspections, and tire repair.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment eligibility must be verified with Form I-9; temporary work authorization or sponsorship needs may disqualify candidates.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program or demonstrated equivalent skills.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent training credentials.
