Global Sourcing Intern (3D Printing)

What you will do

• Work with current and potential suppliers to maintain the material pipeline.
• Support supply chain risk assessments and contingency planning.
• Develop supplier strategies focused on cost, quality, reliability, and supply resilience.
• Conduct market analysis and provide sourcing insights.
• Manage purchase orders, invoices, supplier communications, sourcing, qualification, and negotiation activities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and manufacturers on development builds and transitions to mass production.

Requirements

• Technical or engineering background.
• Interest in sourcing, contacting, and evaluating suppliers for quality, reliability, cost, and capacity.
• Effective communication with teams in person and remotely.
• Ability to manage concurrent conversations and projects while documenting progress.
• Leadership experience and exposure to project management.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or procurement experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Product development experience.
• Familiarity with part inspection, corrective action, and quality control.
• Experience with injection molding, machining, sheet metal stamping, bending and forming, or SMT.
