Middle Backend Golang Engineer (Golang): Building reliable, scalable, and secure backend services, RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, and distributed microservices with an accent on concurrency, message reliability, authentication, and cloud-native deployment. Focus on designing asynchronous workflows, integrating enterprise platforms, improving system performance and reliability, and maintaining comprehensive automated tests.

Location: Lviv, Ukraine; remote work under a ForeverRemote culture

What you will do

Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services in Golang, including RESTful APIs and data contracts.
Build asynchronous, event-driven communication and distributed microservices with reliable message handling and backward compatibility.
Develop secure APIs and integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, and other enterprise platforms.
Improve application performance, reliability, maintainability, and resource utilization.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.
Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, implementation activities, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Professional experience building backend applications and services with Golang, including concurrency and asynchronous workflows.
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
Experience with AWS, cloud-native environments, RESTful APIs, service integrations, relational or NoSQL databases, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, secure API development, and automated unit and integration testing.

Nice to have

Experience with React, TypeScript, Protobuf, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar IAM solutions.
Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or other monitoring and observability tools.
