Software Engineer/UX Designer – Data Platform Engineering - Associate (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing tooling for the Lakehouse platform.
• Own the design process from discovery and prototyping through implementation.
• Work with users to understand workflows and create solutions suited to their needs.
• Partner with stakeholders on design decisions and incorporate feedback.
• Write frontend code while working with Figma, design systems, and web standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and React, plus a good understanding of web standards and best practices.
• Proficiency with Figma, including prototyping and design systems.
• Strong grounding in design thinking, human-centered design, communication, ownership, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Object-oriented design and programming skills in Java or a comparable language.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and cloud data services.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and Lakehouse technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Apache Iceberg.
