Senior Python Developer

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate Python services for a large-scale mission-critical situational-awareness platform.
• Build secure, production-ready APIs and backend components using suitable Python frameworks.
• Design transactional, analytical, and geospatial data-processing workflows with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Redis, and analytical or NoSQL data stores.
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing with workers, queues, and message brokers.
• Address concurrency, data consistency, idempotency, service failures, and OAuth2-based authentication with external identity providers.
• Maintain automated tests, observability, Docker environments, CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial Python experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Python fundamentals, concurrency, threading, multiprocessing, and asynchronous I/O.
• Experience with service-oriented or microservice architectures, secure APIs, SQL, PostgreSQL, transactions, indexing, and query optimization.
• Understanding of distributed systems, OLTP and OLAP, ACID, CAP, consistency, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Hands-on experience with Redis, asynchronous workers, message brokers, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, monitoring, and performance profiling.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostGIS, GeoPandas, geospatial data pipelines, or Geo OLAP workloads.
• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with MongoDB, FastAPI, Kubernetes, JavaScript, React, Django, or Django REST Framework.
• Experience developing mapping, logistics, intelligence, or other mission-critical systems.
