Senior Research Analyst, Power & Renewables (Solar/BESS): Developing authoritative research, forecasts, datasets, and market models for APAC solar and battery energy storage markets with an accent on market economics, policy developments, deployment trends, and investment dynamics. Focus on building long-term power market forecasts, assessing regulatory changes, producing client-facing insights, and presenting complex findings to senior industry stakeholders.

What you will do
- Own research coverage of APAC solar and battery energy storage system markets, with a focus on Australia, New Zealand, and other developed markets.
- Produce market reports, quarterly updates, proprietary datasets, and timely analysis of market events and client questions.
- Develop and maintain analytical models covering deployment, capacity forecasts, technology costs, policy frameworks, and market economics.
- Build integrated regional views of solar and BESS trends with the APAC Power & Renewables research team.
- Present findings at industry events, client briefings, webinars, and internal events.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and collaborate with consulting, marketing, and commercial teams on research distribution and client engagements.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in the power and renewables sector, preferably with direct exposure to Australia and other APAC power markets.
- Expertise in solar and/or BESS market analysis, including technology costs, project economics, grid integration, policy mechanisms, and competitive dynamics.
- Experience producing commercially oriented research publications and presenting findings to senior industry and client audiences.
- Experience with long-term power market forecasting models such as Aurora, Plexos, or equivalent.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Quantitative degree background in engineering, economics, finance, or a related field preferred.

- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and/or Python.
