Associate Engineer

What you will do

• Design and execute engineering projects supporting the technology roadmap.
• Assist development and product engineers with the development, integration, and testing of new and existing products.
• Select and design components based on engineering specifications.
• Develop and implement hardware and software test equipment for production and development hardware.
• Manage developmental product bills of materials in the engineering PLM system and transition parts to the manufacturing ERP system.

Requirements

• Be at least a third-year Bachelor of Engineering student in mechanical, mechatronics, electronics, or a similar discipline.
• Have experience integrating mechatronics systems that combine mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Demonstrate CAD skills using tools such as NX or SolidWorks.
• Show practical hardware and software problem-solving abilities, strong technical writing skills, and effective communication.
• Be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain Australian security clearance.
• Pass police checks and employment screening, and be able to access information controlled under US ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in a similar role or internship.
• Modelling and simulation experience.
• Software development experience.
• Participation in a student engineering team, such as Formula SAE.
