TL;DR
Network Systems and Solutions Engineer (Ethernet): Enabling Intel Ethernet products across discrete controllers and integrated Ethernet IP on SoCs with an accent on board design, PCIe and Ethernet interlink debugging, and customer issue resolution. Focus on analyzing complex hardware and system-level problems, developing and validating debug tools with software developers, and resolving signal integrity, firmware, and protocol issues.
Location: Taipei, Taiwan; hybrid work model with on-site and off-site work

What you will do
- Provide technical enablement and support for Ethernet products.
- Debug and resolve complex issues involving board design, system-level applications, PCIe interconnects, and Ethernet interconnects.
- Independently manage customer issues and drive them through resolution.
- Collaborate with software developers on debug tool development and validation.
- Support custom designs, product development, and issue resolution from hardware design through mass production.
- Travel as needed based on customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with hardware design concepts and high-speed I/O debugging, preferably PCIe or Ethernet.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, firmware debugging, and protocol analysis.
- Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, communication, and customer-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results.
Nice to have
- PCIe SerDes PHY, Data Link, and Transaction Layer knowledge, including SerDes equalization and LTSSM log analysis.
- Experience with system architecture, including BMC, NCSI, I2C, IOSF, and I3C.
- Experience with 10G to 400G Ethernet media and Ethernet module manageability protocols such as SFF-8472, SFF-8636, and CMIS.
- Experience with x86 server platform design and product development through mass production.
