IT Automation Engineer (AI)

Salary: $134.3K–$203K base salary annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day operation, configuration, integrations, documentation, and reliability of Serval.
• Identify, prioritize, build, roll out, and maintain automation opportunities across onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, SaaS administration, and data consistency.
• Build and test HRIS integrations in partnership with People Technology.
• Develop AI-enabled services with appropriate permissions, approval steps, fallbacks, and connections to tools and knowledge sources.
• Plan staged changes, test workflows, monitor outcomes, troubleshoot failures through logs and API responses, and verify results in connected systems.
• Measure reductions in manual effort, errors, delays, and control gaps while incorporating user feedback.

Requirements

• Practical experience building and maintaining automation workflows or integrations used by others.
• Experience with automation platforms, AI agents, workflow testing, and evaluating AI output.
• Understanding of APIs, data flows, technical logic, and generated code for troubleshooting.
• Experience in corporate IT, including identity, SaaS, account, group, or access-management systems.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, explain tradeoffs, coordinate dependencies, and own systems after launch.
• Experience with Serval or a similar AI-enabled workflow and service-automation platform.

Nice to have

• Experience automating processes through HRIS APIs.
• Familiarity with Okta, Lumos, SSO, SCIM, employee lifecycle integrations, or Apple device management.
• Experience connecting AI agents to tools and knowledge sources, configuring permissions, or evaluating performance.
• Experience with automated workflow tests, regression checks, or monitoring across applications.
