Business Analyst (Deduction Management)

Location: Remote, United States; working hours must overlap with the US business day, in the afternoon and evening MSK time.

Promomash is a US-based SaaS company serving natural and organic CPG brands with trade promotion and deduction-management software.

What you will do

• Own deduction-management features from initial request through production acceptance.
• Gather and structure requirements from operations, clients, and product leadership, separating business problems from proposed solutions.
• Write briefs covering inputs, outputs, business rules, edge cases, scope, and acceptance criteria with real-data examples.
• Support developers during implementation, answer questions, make in-scope product decisions, and coordinate stakeholder sign-off.
• Validate completed work on staging, triage operational issues using SQL, and distinguish bugs, data problems, and usage questions.
• Prepare release notes, walkthroughs, feature-flag rollouts, and requirements for cash application and remittance processing.

Requirements

• Fluent English and fluent Russian for daily written and spoken collaboration with US stakeholders and the Russian-speaking development team.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or QA/Test Analyst on a software product.
• Experience writing software requirements and accepting delivered work against defined criteria.
• Background in accounts receivable, collections, credit control, cash application, order-to-cash, or ERP finance modules.
• Working SQL skills, including joining tables and independently checking data.
• Ability to convert incomplete operational requests into build-ready specifications and work directly with clients, operations, and developers.

Nice to have

• Experience with US retail or distributor deductions, chargebacks, or trade-promotion settlement.
• Experience with US CPG, retail, or consumer-goods clients.
• Daily use of AI tools for analysis, drafting, and testing.
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365 Business Central, SFTP/API exchange, feature flags, or staged rollouts.
