State and Local Tax - Mergers and Acquisitions Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Schaumburg, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Work on a tax team covering state and local tax, mergers and acquisitions, corporate taxation, individual taxation, and related specialty areas.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Interpret tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Travel to assigned client locations while supporting client engagements.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours.
• Work toward a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, at an accredited university.
• Major in accounting.
• Access to and ability to arrange reliable transportation to assigned client locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
